I first met Sara and Carson through another long-time client I absolutely adore, and from that moment, I had a feeling their wedding day was going to be something special. Some couples have a spark you can see within seconds—an energy that makes you smile before they even say a word. These two absolutely have that.
During their vows, there were moments that genuinely stopped me in my tracks. I am not someone who tears up easily, but they had me dangerously close. That’s the kind of love they share—quietly powerful, deeply sweet, and impossible not to feel.
And can we talk about the venue? Mill Street Distillery had my heart skipping a beat the second I stepped out of my car. I love photographing there—the charm, layout, and endless possibilities… everything just works. (Consider this my official “hint hint” that I’d happily go back anytime. If you’re hunting for a venue, check them out—and when you’re ready for your photographer, you know where to find me.)
Even the drive was beautiful. Their day fell right at the start of peak fall color, and the winding roads were full of turning leaves, rolling hillsides, and I swear, a cow or horse at every other home (which is always a visual bonus for me). It felt like the perfect lead-in to a perfect wedding day.
Days like this remind me why I love what I do. Photographing a wedding isn’t just about documenting the timeline. It’s about witnessing real moments, real emotion, and real connection. Sara and Carson’s day was overflowing with all three, and it was an honor to be the one capturing it.
To the newlyweds: thank you for trusting me, for welcoming me in to your close knit group, and for letting me preserve the start of your forever.
And to anyone planning their own celebration: if you’re dreaming of a wedding filled with heart, intention, and beautiful moments, I’d love to tell your story next.
